When a dog is plagued with fleas, its health and that of his humans get endangered.
Effective over-the-counter Flea control solutions though can come with a high cost.
Living traditionally shared a recipe of an all-natural anti-flea spray.
“Are You Poisoning Your Pet with Toxic Flea and Tick Products? Commercial pest control products l trigger adverse reactions in dogs and cats, causing premature death. The Natural Resources Defense Council released a report called Poisons on Pets: Health Hazards from Flea and Tick Products which demonstrated a link between chemicals commonly used in flea and tick products and serious health problems in both people and pets. Unfortunately, there is no chemical based pest control product that is without the potential for side effects.”

“One of the most frustrating situations to deal with is when your dog get “infested” with fleas – in no time your entire house will get infected. So it’s imperative that dog owners know exactly what to do to prevent and stop fleas right away before hell breaks loose (further). Sometimes it may not be the case of your dog’s skin having fleas developing on, it could also be that your dog has picked up the fleas from other doggie friends during their interaction. It could also be possible that fleas happened to already be in your household rather than on your dog and your dog just happens to be a victim as well.”

Delicious and Chemical-free
Farmer’s Almanac also shared a recipe of this time an anti-flea dog treat that pests cannot resist.
“Roll dough onto floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Use knife to cut dough into squares, or use cookie cutters to make special shapes. Place cut dough onto large, ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are brown. Allow to cool 2 hours, then store in plastic bags or airtight containers.”
